The brief

A house that suited the way the land sat, rather than a plan dropped onto it. Orientation, prevailing wind and the view were the starting point.

The site

Rural sites bring their own budget: access, services, soil, water and bushfire requirements can account for a meaningful share of the cost before a wall goes up. All of it was on the schedule from the beginning.

The work

Designed and built with the living spaces oriented to the north and the working parts of the house buffering the weather side.

The result

A home that reads as though it grew out of the paddock rather than arriving on a truck.

We can usually arrange a walk-through of a completed home, and put you in touch with the owners. It is the most useful hour you will spend choosing a builder.
