Hawthorn Renovation
A character home in one of Adelaide's established eastern suburbs, reworked internally while the street elevation stayed exactly where it was.
The brief
Modernise how the house functions without touching what makes it belong on the street.
The approach
Almost all the change happened behind the front rooms. Circulation was rationalised, wet areas relocated to where services could sensibly run, and the rear opened up.
The work
Structural changes to remove load-bearing walls, full re-service, and new joinery detailed to the proportions of the original rooms.
The result
From the footpath, nothing has changed. Inside, the house works the way a house built this century would.

We can usually arrange a walk-through of a completed home, and put you in touch with the owners. It is the most useful hour you will spend choosing a builder.
